The idea that advertising needs deconstructing is an old one. This blog is intended to be one place out of many to do such work. Part of the reason for this blog is a suspicion that almost all advertising is untruthful in some way, not just the big bad McAds. Advertising that is untruthful is harmful and distorting, and if most of it is untruthful, then we need to seriously rethink advertising.
